The Leventhorpe Baronetcy, of Shingey (or Shingle) Hall, Herts., was a title in the Baronetage of England. It was created on 30 May 1622 for John Leventhorpe, son of Sir Edward Leventhorpe and Mary Parker, daughter of Henry Parker, 11th Baron Morley.

The title became extinct on the death of the 5th Baronet in 1680.

On 30 May 1622 John Leventhorpe (age 62) was created 1st Baronet Leventhorpe of Shingey Hall, Herts.
Joan Brograve by marriage became Lady Leventhorpe of Shingey Hall, Herts.

On 23 Sep 1625 John Leventhorpe 1st Baronet (age 65) died. His son Thomas Leventhorpe (age 33) succeeded as 2nd Baronet Leventhorpe of Shingey Hall, Herts.

On 30 Apr 1636 Thomas Leventhorpe 2nd Baronet (age 43) was killed in a duel with Arthur Capell of Little Hadham (age 50).
His son, John Leventhorpe (age 6) succeeded as 3rd Baronet Leventhorpe of Shingey Hall, Herts.

On 29 Nov 1649 John Leventhorpe 3rd Baronet (age 20) died of smallpox unmarried at Chancery Lane.
His brother Thomas Leventhorpe (age 13) succeeded as 4th Baronet Leventhorpe of Shingey Hall, Herts.

On 27 Jul 1679 Thomas Leventhorpe 4th Baronet (age 43) died at Elvaston, having been kicked by a horse. His uncle Charles Leventhorpe (age 84) succeeded as 5th Baronet Leventhorpe of Shingey Hall, Herts.

On 30 Aug 1680 Charles Leventhorpe 5th Baronet (age 85) died unmarried. Baronet Leventhorpe of Shingey Hall in Hertfordshire extinct.

Dorothy, Lady Leventhorpe (c.1603-1643)
Dorothy was the daughter of Sir Giles Alington of Horseheath, Cambridgeshire. Her younger sister became Anne, Lady Fanshawe. She was named after her mother Dorothy Cecil, daughter of Thomas, 2nd Lord Burghley.
On 29 May 1623, Dorothy married Sir Thomas Leventhorpe, 2nd Baronet of Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire.
Dorothy gave birth to 7 children between 1625 -1635. In 1636 Thomas forced a duel with Sir Arthur Capel, which resulted in his death.
Their eldest son, John, succeeded to the title but died without a son in 1649.
The title passed to his 14 year old brother Thomas, 4th Baronet.

The 4th Baronet's wife was Mary Badell.

Mary was the daughter of Alice Fanshawe Bedell (1598–1666), and Sir Capel Bedell (c.1602–c.1643).
She married Sir Thomas Leventhorpe, 4th Baronet of Blakesware Hall, Herts., in 1654.
They had a daughter, Mary, and her daughter, Mary Coke, married John Fanshawe of Parsloes.
