Her first husband, whom she married in 1638, was William Kite, butcher, of Whitecapel (d.c.1652), brother of Margaret Kite, Pepy's mother. She was living in Wentworth St, Stepney, when she made her will on 7 Sept. 1661. She died on the 12th, leaving most of her property (which included houses and money) to Margaret, her only child, a daughter by her first marriage [first cousin to Sam], and small legacies to her second husband's three sons. Her 'cousin' Pepys and her brother-in-law Thomas Fenner were executors.
