Blackmoor or Blackamoor.
In the Sandwich Journal there are 2 ships of this name. One is the Blackamoor being a merchant ship and hired by the Navy and included in the Fleet list of April 1665. The other is the Blackamoor Merchant hired and in the list for July 1665.
Anderson the editor notes that hired merchantmen were often 4th rate.
(The Blackamoor, being on of the King's hired ships, was sent to the Gold Coast in June 1661 in service of the Africa Company)
