Dramatization of a real-life fraud in which a woman semi-sucessfully passes herself off as a German Princess, starring the perpatratix herself, in a performance of 15 April 1664 called “simple” by Pepys. The real name of the woman was Mary Carleton http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary…
