Per L&M Companion:-
(b. 1647) Elizabeth Pepys' companion 1664-6; the daughter of William and Nichola Mercer of St. Olive's parish. Her mother (probably a widow by 1664) lived on the n. side of Crutched Friars (? in French Ordinary Court), where Will Hewer lodged with her. She died in 1673. Mary had two brothers: James (b. 1649) and William (1651 - 71), the latter of whom is mentioned by name in the diary. The parish registers record only her sisters Sarah and Elizabeth.
