Swakeleys House is a 17th-century mansion nr. Ickenham, Mdx., built in 1638 for the future Lord Mayor of London, Sir Edmund Wright. Originally the home of the lords of the manor of Swakeleys, Samuel Pepys visited the house twice in 1665. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swa…

In 2015 Swakeleys House was on the market. This article has stunning pictures ... let's hope the buyer had restoration in mind. Pepys went to nice places!
