If memory serves me right, there was a movie called "The Old Soak", based on a script by Don Marquis, of Archie and Mehitabel fame. Old drunk saves the town from teetotalers-something like that. Hey, it's Don Marquis.

The full Spanish toast is: Health, love and money, and the time to enjoy them. It sounds better in Spanish-Salud amor y dinero, y el tiempo para gastarlos. Hard to argue with that-in any language.
