I have a question about the 'Conduit in Fleet-street' that Pepys refers to on this day. The annotation in the entry above points readers to the Holborn Conduit but that was to the north of Fleet Street. Isn't Pepys in this instance referring to the conduit on Fleet Street at the junction with Shoe Lane and the site of his former home in Salisbury Court?
