Ah, not a horseman among you. Sam has a saddle sore, a blister on his sensitive tissue caused by chafing of his clothes on the saddle leather. He's been riding for hours a day for several days, and he is not hardened to it. Also, I'll bet a lot that his riding suit had a seam along the crotch, which would only make it worse.
