Tobias Venner. Bath physician whose tomb Pepys admired. Pepys possessed his *Via recta ad vitam langam*, which was published in 1660, the year og the author's death. The Dr Venner whom Pepys's Aunt Wight doated on may have been his son John (M.D. Oxon., n.d.), or William Venner (B. Med., Oxon., 1634).
