I’ve been working on improving the Recent Annotations page format, as it was rather unwieldy. I’ve now set it so that rather than listing the last 30 annotations chronologically, it lists the last 10 entries ordered by whichever has the most recent annotations. I hope that makes sense! There didn’t seem much point in the previous listing where most of the comments were on the current diary entry. This way, it’s easier to keep an eye on new annotations appearing on older diary entries.

I’ve also worked out how to include the start of each annotation, which makes it a bit more interesting. I’ve changed the recent People/Places annotations list to the same format too (I’m trying to split this into two separate lists but haven’t worked out how yet). I hope you feel this is an improvement; let me know!

Excellent work!
I noticed the change before coming to this page and thought "what a great idea!" You seem as dedicated to perfecting the site as the good folks at Google are with theirs.

Grand Job. You are making this a fantastic enjoyable experience. This is how I envisioned education to be. "entertaing" a 1/2 century too late

Thanks to all and to PHIL

Definite improvement!

I also noticed the change before going to this page, since the Recent Annotations page is one of the first I go to, to catch up. You've chosen a very efficient way of showing what days have been changed, without listing every single change.

You rawk, Philip!

REF : RECENT ANNOTATIONS.
I BELIEVE I READ TWO TONIGHT AND FOLLOWED THEM TO THE DAY BUT THEN NOTICED THEY WERE MISSING FROM THE MOST RECENT LIST. IS THIS POSSIBLE? WHEN I WAS RELOOKING AT IT A FEW MINUTES LATER.?'
ALSO.. I DONT GET ANYTHING WHEN I CLICK ON LINK.. IS IT MY COMPUTER?

THANKSEVER SO MUCH AGAIN.

I'm glad you like the site.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean about recent annotations... the Recent Annotations list shows the entries that have the most recent annotations, and a snippet of the most recent annotation from each entry. Each entry only appears once in the list.

I'm not sure what link you mean when you say you get nothing by clicking "on link". There are lots of links on the site!

By the way, if you post comments or annotations in future, could you not do it all in capitals - it would make things easier on the eye!
