I’ve just made this website run over a secure connection (its address now starts “https” rather than just “http”) — you should see a little padlock or similar in your browser.
This means that when you register or log in your email address and password will be sent over a secure connection to the site — no sneaky people trying to intercept internet traffic between you and the site will be able to get your details.
This change will also stop some browsers complaining that the site is insecure, something they’re going to start doing more often to plain “http” sites.
This shouldn’t change anything noticeable. All old URLs will redirect to the new ones and everything should work just as it did before. But if you notice something seems odd, do let me know!
